Current Employment

Full-Time: Halsted Middle School Libary-Media Center [Newton, NJ] (1989-)

I have been the Educational Media Specialist at Halsted School since 1989. I fully automated the library, The library was the first Internet location in the school. I was selected as Newton's district Teacher of the Year in April 1994 and wrote a history of our school on its 75th anninversary. I made several presentations at our state-wide Library Association Conference, and am well know for my "Muller in the Middle" presentations on middle school fiction.

Part-Time: Sussex County Community College Library [Newton, NJ] (1994-)

I have worked in as a part-time reference libarian and with being a cataloger and jack-of-all-trades in the technical services department.

Part-Time: Livingston Public Library [Livingston, NJ] (1988-1996)

I worked here part-time while I was working on my MLS degree. After received my degree I worked as a reference librarian and cataloger. For several years I was the Sunday supervisor.

Educational Improvement Center (E.I.C.) - [East Orange, NJ] (1983-1984)

Was volunteer and provided advice to students, teachers, administrators and Board members on school computers. Provided programming and implementation advice on TRS-80, Apple II, Pet, & Atari computers. All EICs were closed in 1984.

Green Brook High School Resource Room [Green Brook, NJ] (1985-1988)

Taught the Junior High School resource room of special education students.

Irene E. Feldkirchner School - Green Brook Elementary School. (1974-1985)

Taught trainable mentally retarded children for 11 years. Was selected "1978 Teacher of the Year" by Somerset County ARC. Implemented use of computers in entire school. Became computer coordinator. Wrote computer programs for on TRS-80 and Apple IIe w/ speech synthesizer.
